Brilliantly executed concept by Jesse Rosten! This concept will definitely get more boyfriends & husbands buying clothes for their girlfriends and wives :)

Shopping has always played a large role in many scenarios developed for the application of various technology concepts right from receiving discounts & offers in a mall (Bluetooth), remote social shopping (mobile video cameras), getting recommendations on the move (location-based) or trying out clothes from home without actually wearing them (augmented reality). However almost none of these concepts (most of them atleast) have really seen the light of day and turned into reality. I wonder why this is the case.

The above concept might work nicely when combined with the hot new Estonian startup, Fits.me that is making waves in the virtual shopping industry. Fits.me aims to reduce returns and increase sales by allowing buyers to see clothes on a mannequin with the exact dimensions of the buyer’s body. It does this by using robotic mannequins with artificial muscles that can simulate the shape and size of any body.
